Gemstone Ring Workshop

with Kelly Rapp

In this 4 hour workshop, learn how to fabricate, set, and finish a one of a kind bezel set ring in sterling silver. Students will have a selection of unique stones to choose from including boulder opal doublets, moonstone, and labradorite to name a few. Basic metalsmithing techniques including sizing, forming, soldering, and polishing your work will be covered. No experience necessary.

Kelly Rapp has been working as a jeweler for the past 9 years making bench fabricated and 3D modeled & lost wax cast pieces in sterling silver and gold. She graduated from the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia with a BFA in Painting & Jewelry/Metals/CAD/CAM in 2012 and worked out of her studio in Philadelphia for many years before relocating to Lancaster, PA.
